One-Day Basic Studio Lighting Workshop in Düsseldorf.

This workshop is aimed at all beginner level photographers who wish to learn how to use studio lighting or simply grow their already existing knowledge and learn some effective creative tips and tricks.

The goal of the workshop is to help you understand metering, lighting equipment, light shapers/modifiers and everything else that revolves around studio photography.

The workshop begins with an introduction of the main types of studio flash lights and modifiers, exploring topics such as exposure, aperture, distance, hard and soft light, light fall off, background color, shadows and much more.

We'll learn how to photograph people as well as simple products. We'll start off by studying how to create stunning photos by using just one light. Later in the day, we'll bring in multiple lights to show how to incorporate key, fill and background lighting. We will use backgrounds, light meter, umbrellas, softboxes, reflectors, grids, beauty dish.

You will have the opportunity to individually shoot a model in the different lighting setups, so you can really experience the different lighting scenarios. You will gain all the knowledge necessary to feel confident with studio lighting and start to experiment creatively.
